It is essential to have the right spined arrow for your bow weight and draw length. 

Arrows come in many sizes, and many materials, and it can very confusing when choosing an arrow as out of the many types of arrows, only a select few will suit you and your bow.

There are 2 main categories of arrows; hunting and target.

Inside these 2 categories, we can break this down further into 4 groups;
Traditional Wooden Arrow - Only used in these modern days by traditional archers using traditional long bow equipment.
Aluminium Arrow - Aluminium arrows come with guaranteed straightness and weight tolerance. This will ensure that all your arrows are the same.
Straight Carbon Arrow - These arrows come with all the above benefits of the aluminium arrow with the added advantage of minimal bending.
Mixed Aluminium and Carbon Arrow - This arrow is seen as the most elite arrow on the market today with the added benefits of both materials (aluminium and carbon) bonded together. ‘Every Olympic championship has won using X10 since it was introduced’ (aluminium and carbon arrow)
